auto clean feature in wasing machine

in my 20 years of usage..never found machine cleaning an issue.
When cloths are getting washed/rinsed do you think the tub wont be clean….

Water filter needs to be clean manually(once a month I say), and exterior cleaning . Dont look for useless feature like self clean

Tub may be clean during the usual washing process, but then the tub is not the only thing inside the machine doing the job.

Around the tub(rotating), there will be another static tub, which usually collects/holds water during washing, and then there is a harness where the tub is being held. This is where usually the inefficient or undissolved detergents or lint stay put and because there is some stagnant water, it usually results in scale formation. So some amount of cleaning is needed. If not done, it usually results in foul smell or not-so-proper wash.
PS: This is only applicable when used with hard or salt water.

@OnlineBewda Here’s the information you need. You don’t need a dedicated function to do this cleaning. All you can do is put descaling power in the tub and run it in a usually long cycle with hot water if you have an option. That should do.

@cadence Front loads aren’t fussy about cleaning, because there is not much water that is on hold when the machine is off. It is mostly the inefficient detergents that results in any issues with drum, and then there is the drain pump (usually found in the right/left bottom part of the machine) that needs periodic cleaning. Scales/Lint/hair/any accidental leftovers in the pockets will usually end up here and clogs the drain pump. Scale or lint may be removed by the descaling powder. But for rest, no amount of descaling power/clean cycles can fix this, except removal of the clutter physically.

Ye machine ko clean karna bhi hota hai kya.

Used top load for 6 years and never thought for cleaning.

Now using front load from last 2 years but go to my machine only for cloth cleaning.

And used only 1 mode (30 minute daily wash) out of given 10 mode in my bosch machine.
