Hi,
Does anyone know the process to apply for axis card? I tried many times in axis website but couldn’t find the card. I even tried in paisa bazaar as well.
Any leads will be helpful.
Thank you.

I applied for Axis Flipkart card a week ago. I applied on the Axis website. After filling the application online, they called after an hour and sent someone to do home KYC. No documents asked for except Aadhar. No income proof was requested. I got an approval message the next day and the card arrived in 5 days after application. The credit limit of 2.5 lakhs is rather low compared to my other cards. Mainly planning on using it for POS purchases to get the 1.5% cashback. I didn’t have any Axis bank account.

2.5L without income proof + it’s Axis… and you still call it “low”? What an insult for the 15k club members

Compared to my other cards. Like my Amazon ICICI has a limit of 8 lakhs and my IDFC Wealth has a limit of 19.6 lakhs. I would have been happy with 15k even as it is better than outright rejection. I think banks in India should avoid rejecting people with decent credit scores and income. They should at least provide a small credit limit or offer a secure card instead of rejection. Instead of saying, we are sorry your application be approved, they should offer something like, please deposit xx amount with us for one year and we will approve your card.

Local branch ppl are already aware of a person’s financial profile or try to find it, this is why they insist on visiting home & take pics of home/inquire about family members etc. I am guessing he is already well known in the locality living for a long time so no need to get income proof & fast approval with good limit.
ek way hai ji. First take Flipkart freecharge card from axis Bank. That’s it. Then after 3 months take Flipkart Axis by calling the customer care. 🙂🙂🙂

I live in a modest apartment. Not expensive as it is far from the city. I am not rich or well known at all. No one knows me in the area. I think it was based just on my CIBIL report. My score is around 790 and I have a few cards. However my credit profile is not very old as I started applying for cards only about 18 months ago. Generally, being self employed puts me at a disadvantage compared to salaried folks.

Indeed. I went to the moon and back in joy when my 15k approval came

If you have a credit card with 19 lakh limit then no bank will ask for income proof.
Lobogris wrote:Really? My credit history is only around 20 months old though. HDFC has declined me recently.😌
HDFC has probably declined your application because based on your existing card limit you are eligible for their top end card like infinia but hdfc rarely give such card to non-acc holders & I am guessing you don’t have an acc with them.
Lobogris wrote:What is the typical or average ITR for salaried folks? Don’t professionals earn a lot?
Typical salaried ppl itr range from 5-10 lakh especially those applying for credit cards. Professionals who earn a lot usually already have 1 or 2 cards they are using for long & not much interested/aware about getting more cards which is understandable because if your salary is 2 lakh+ per month you don’t really care about saving a few thousands in a year. Such ppl usually aim only for top end cards with 10k annual fee.

I doubt it. They never communicated anything. I didn’t have an account with them but I have opened one a few weeks ago. I am keeping around 10 lakhs with them hoping to get an offer at some point. I could keep more but their interest rates are really low. Their savings account gives only 3% interest while my other ones are at 7%. Similarly their FDs are around 5% while I get 8 % at other places. So I don’t want to keep large amounts with them at this satge.

Wow you got 2.5Lakh limit, I applied for flipkart axis card via flipkart app and I just got 39k (12.5% limit of my HDFC card).
