Hi guys

Axis Ace CC has been devalued now. Rental & insurance payments have been excluded now from cashback.

Quick glimpse from new T&C

Cashback shall not be eligible for following spends/transactions on the card,
o Fuel Spends
o EMI transactions
o Purchases converted to EMI post facto
o Wallet loading transactions
o Cash advances
o Payments made through MCC 6513 ( payment of management fees, rental
commissions, rental payments or any such payments through MCC 6513)
o Payment of outstanding balances
o Payment of card fees and other card charges
 W.e.f. September 15th, 2022, cashback shall not be eligible for payments made towards
purchase of gold/jewelry items(all transactions made on MCC – 5944) and insurance premium
payments (all transactions made on MCC – 6300).

Currently I have Amazon ICICI CC that gives me at least 1% all across. The differential is +1% on Ace (+ straight cb in statement rather than amazon wallet). Is it still worth it to pay for ace CC at roughly (499+GST ~~ 600 approx)?

I have LTF Flipkart Axis, is it worth getting Ace too? I have Axis Neo LTF, was thinking of closing that and getting Ace non-LTF afaik. I also have a citi cc so I’ll probably get another Axis CC next year (sad about losing Citi CC)

as of now insurance payments attract cashback on axis flipkart. Furthermore, 0.5% extra on ace as compared to flipkart card. Doesn't sound too good a deal for you

Yes it's worth it. Pay rent and insurance from other cards. Anyways rent and insurance payments give more benefit on milestone focused cards like Axis Magnus or SBI Prime

Well I don't have spend linked cards with me as of now. So milestone is out of question. Should I be getting one such card though? (in that case you keep on running calculations how to achieve the spend etc etc)

Amazon ICICI still gives 1% CB on all txns nonetheless which gives me whatever best I can accrue.

Don't think you'll get LTF as of now unless bank rolls out an offer

Still one of the best cards out there. I dont pay insurance premiums or rent through this, so not a devaluation for me.

Where do you spend it to exploit it and also are you able to get the spend linked waiver of card fee?

not sure if you have read this thread's main message -- no CB on insurance payments from Sep 15,2022... also best is to first check the card's website for current T&Cs

W.e.f. September 15th, 2022, cashback shall not be eligible for payments made towards
purchase of gold/jewelry items(all transactions made on MCC – 5944) and insurance premium
payments (all transactions made on MCC – 6300).
