Just received a call from someone claiming to be from axis bank credit card department they said they will credit 3000 reward points and they were asking for card details like last 8 digits, expiry date and CVV for verification.
They were also trying to build trust by claiming that they were calling from the same customer care number as given in the back of the credit card.
Please be aware.

They must be knowing someone from the bank as they knew that I had just received the My Zone Credit Card and were asking for only the last 8 digits.

this type of fraud mostly happens with axis Bank Credit Cards.in the past i have upgraded my axis Bank card for 3 times. Every time I used to get this type of call after 3, 4 days of card delivery.
Every time they Confirmed first 8 digits of card and asked me remaining nos .i strongly believe there is something suspicious from axis bank end because i used to have almost all bank credit cards but never received This type of calls .How do they SPECIALLY know axis bank credit card details..
i used to make Fun with those fraudsters..even recorded multiple call recordings and sent to axis Bank cc . they did nothing

What an idea sirji! India needs such hardworking talents!!!
Well I miss such calls, I use to act stupid and at the end would swear….
Even I can call you from any number.
Just tell me from which number I shall call you and give me your number.
Even I can call you using your number 🤣🤣
How?
first 8 digits identifies type of card, bank, bank branch etc so he need only the last 8 digit to scam
Strange that they have the same number mentioned on the back of the card.
May they are using +1 (US) paid numbers to fraud.
