I have an axis credit card ( airtel axis specifically) with ~40k limit and have a transaction of ~ 1lakh to do on axis card.

Wanted to know if i can increase my limit by paying bill of 60k and will I be charged anything on doing so.

I have done same with my hdfc card earlier but not sure about axis.

TIA

Over limit fees would be charged.

This was possible before but not now.

what if i use 40k pay that back before bill generation and use 40k again and so on   will that still be charged in over limit?

Then itf fine, if all transactions are under your limit, you can keep paying and using. Just that you have to split the transactions

I used that trick on my ace (35k limit)and done 2 lakh of transaction a year ago. Paid 30k paid the bill, once debited to acct then again paid 30k and so on.

Overlimit charge happrns when OUTSTANDING amout is more than credit limit. Just wait until the paid amout credits to card acct.

From where we can turn on this feature.

I have 45000 INR limit Axis FK

If I use it fully 45000 on 1st APR. Then even after bill payment 45000 I have to wait till next month to reuse it.

This is happening with me for 2 years with Axis only. Rest other bank cards I can reuse the limit daily immediately after bill payment but with Axis I can reuse the limit monthly only as transaction fails saying Insufficient funds, Bank server error etc
