Best to keep cashback amount less than 5000 rupees in a statement cycle to be safe and use it for personal spends only. My two friends' Flipkart axis cards were blocked by axis for ordering mobiles worth 1.5 lakh and 1.17 lakh in a month, obviously they were doing it for reselling purposes and i don't recommend doing that.
What about 1.3L spend in 1 year? Ordered 3 mobiles recently in bbd and 2-3 previously throughout the year. Rest of the usage is from shopping and other online payments etc. This much is safe right?
If you're very frequently generating statements of well over a lakh with lesser number of transactions but of higher values, then they might ask you to provide the invoice and prove that it is for personal usage. I guess that you still might be okay if you're not regularly crossing that limit and this statement generated of ~2lc is a sole incident. But still, be prepared to prove that the purchases done are for personal use and you'll be okay.
I didn't cross 20k bill in normal months, but in September and October I purchased above 1 lakhs, in that one iPhone for personal use, and thinking to purchase some other items which value 50-60k and all are personal use only... I dropped idea of purchase because of recent dimers experience of axis blocked cards.. above 5k cashback.. thanks for all giving your valuable suggestions..
Less than 5k cashback a month is the safest zone. 10k cashback is even ok, if you have done it once in past 6 month.
