Recently Bangood had halted the taking orders from India for some logistic issue. After almost a month they have started shipping to India again. But it looks like bangood has slightly increased shipping charge.

Thats great. Was it electronics product? Heard customs are imposed mostly on electronics. And when we get information about custom charges? I thought it was paid while delivery handover.

I don’t have problem buying products made in India, unfortunately the product I bought is not available in India. Furthermore made in should be also affordable & competitive.

Mostly if you import products like mobiles phones, tablets, camera, there will be high chances of getting stuck im custom. I have imported almost 15~20 electronics items like DC bench power supply, Arduino modules, Camera Lens, Digital Microscopic,ESR meter etc. No custom was charged till now. The recent item I purchased is Camera Zoom Lens.

If your parcels stuck custom , you will receive a letter from custom department asking you to provide invoice of transactions for valuation of product. You have to send it back with required document with the given address within stipulated time. In case you don’t reply the letter, your parcel will either return to seller or go in auction.

Not sure about ESR meter but I am sure that camera lens, zoom lens can be available in India.

At times, our brethren needs encouragement and support for their living even if their products are not so-affordable. At times Chinese products are artificially lower priced just to kill economies of other nations.

Even if we dont want to be vocal for local, we at least care for the soldiers who are at LAC securing our safety.

No offence but anything you buy ie: electronic or electric or designer or show piece in any big store or online chances of it being chinese are very high. I sometimes feel are we manufacturing anything in India?

What our government has achieved by banning direct import from China? Most of products are rooted from other countries at higher prices and those countries are buying from China and selling to India and making profit. End result is we are loosing more money.

Govt hasn’t banned any import from any country. It is left to us and our sensitivity.

The only reason for some dependece on China is because of their chip manufacturing. Everything else is available everywhere else. Even if the chips come from there, the manufacturing of complete product still being done in India and Lakhs of Indian households earn their living from it.

Yes, for all the above items, you get them made in India too. It is a different story that some components and chips are made in China or Taiwan.

In fact mobiles phones are now being exported out of India including iPhones.

The point is that those companies who are manufacturing/assembling in India do employ Indian people, they depend on Indian dealers vendor and traders, they pay tax in India. Lakhs of people earn their living because of these companies and crores of people gain because of this supply chain.

You cannot buy anything from AliExpress as if now but you can buy from items from Alibaba. Alibaba is a B2B market like indiamart. Sellers take orders in bulk quantity. You can also order single sample order but shipping charge will be very high. You have communicate with seller in this regard.
