Bank of Baroda Annual Debit Card Charge

Usually bank do not send revised rates to customers . They only update Soc (schedule of Charges ) for all accounts on their website .
Different banks charges differently for their products .

You can try if they reverse but chances are less if they updated Soc recently

Bob debit cards are worst. They not even give small rewards points also and charges are high.

Fee reversal for debit cards in government banks? Is this possible?

Won’t reverse, trh for rupay card, that is cheaper

Thanks for the replies, I had no idea whatsoever that it’s on the bank to decide what charge they will impose on the Visa cards, I thought for same category of cards (Visa Platinum in this instance) the charge is same and uniform across all banks. A third class state run bank like BoB charging significantly more than a pvt. bank is beyond comical anyway. I’ll try to register a complaint through that link, I get all lost with their different categories!

What’s the annual cost of this Rupay thing? Any idea?

I’ve been a BoB customer for 5+ years and I was never charged for DC, earlier it was a Mastercard variant and last year when it expired they sent a Rupay variant.

I just got charged Rs. 352 for owning a Visa Platinum debit card.

I have NOT been informed about the price hike from Rs. 300 to Rs. 352… Neither they have updated their official website for service fees (under "Digital Banking Product Related Charges") as of 21st Sept 2023.

They just committed a crime.
