Guys I had Rs. 8100 balance on 25th of this month
I made some transactions of Rs. 118.59 and Rs. 154
Therefore final balance should be Rs. 7827.41
But it is Rs. 7427.41

Therefore Rs. 400 is missing without any trace

I reported the same to the customer care and asked for wallet statement.

They sent an email saying the following

“_Thank you for contacting us._

We would like to inform you that, your monthly Paytm wallet statement is sent on every 2nd week of the month, to your registered email address. Alternatively, you can also download Wallet statement from your Passbook by tapping on current month.

Enclosed is your Paytm wallet statement for your quick reference. You can also check and view your wallet statement and transaction details on web and Paytm mobile app."

But there was no statement attached with the email and they did not mentioned anything about the deduction.

I reverted back and asked where is my money ?

Though I have not received any reply but Rs. 350 has been credited
but still Rs. 50 missing from my wallet and surprisingly there is no history/record i.e. nothing is reflected in the wallet statement

Therefore guys/gals please keep a track of your paytm wallet balance.

This kind of cheating reminds me those Horrible Reliance days when they used to deduct balance regularly from customers account without any reason and while you call the customer care they will say server down.

Be aware and cross check your paytm balance regularly

Did you book any uber app and paid it through Paytm? And cancelled it?
Happened many times with me. Money gets credited within 3-4 hrs.

@nofpd same happened with me with flipkart wallet . they agreed something messed up but even they were so confused and could not trace where the money gone . later they credited my money as top up in my wallet .
Paytm after getting so many users , now a days ignoring service part . btw you must take up this issue bcoz if it is happening on regular basis then should complain it to NPCI .

That is the biggest problem with cash. Either in physical or digital format. Pickpockets are plenty.
At least if pickpocket steals from you and you catch him you can trash him and hand him to cops. But when paytm or the banks act as pickpockets how will u trash them?

+1.
just check If you have booked any uber cab and cancelled.?
IF you book uber cab they will take 350 from your paytm and put then on hold.
and If you cancel cab ,they deduct 50 straight away from your paytm account.

then why Paytm/Uber is lenient with @BB8DealWars https://cdn3.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_lol.gif
they never charge him for any ride, rather he gets 50 Rs for every ride https://cdn3.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_twisted.gif

@nofpd

Yes it may be due to UBER as I cancelled a ride of Rs. 107 only
but as per your info for cancellation 350-50
in my case its 400-50
and most importantly why then hell there is no trace of it in the account statement !!!!

revoked UBER access from paytm

but I cancelled a ride of Rs. 107 only, then how can they deduct 400 ?
bad practice by both paytm and uber

when you book uber cab they will put 350 on hold and release after some time ..
since your cancelled they deducted 50 from your paytm account.

and credited 350 back to your account right ?

Every month I topup 10-15k on Paytm and use that formy groceries and online payments of bills. I’ve never faced that issue. The statements are always generated as mentioned by the customer service.

Make sure you’ve not ordered something and made payment via Paytm and forgot about it. It happened with me too. You can check every transactions details via your profile tab. It could also be uber charges as explained above.

Do you really think such a big organisation which is opening a bank will do such a thing for your 400Rs?

I find this thread funny. Paytm looted 400rs cause they are poor haha if they wanted to loot OP, it would’ve been full balance. Why would they took mere 400Rs.

This thread will be deleted I guess 😂

Do you even know currently how many active users are there who are using Paytm?

It’s 122 Million as per Apr 2016 data

Forget about Rs. 400 if they deduct just Rs. 1 can you imagine what would be the amount?

My concern is transparency, if they can’t provide it, a customer may reach upto any level.

Even they are sending autogenerated email, without any statement but in email they wrote that statement attached but nothing is there.. Not once, twice.. Do you have any explanation for this too??

This post is just the beginning. I will reach every possible forum.

You may have a sweet experience with Paytm, others may not !!!

Your explanation itself answer your stupid question that 122million customers are using paytm and you think they will withdraw mere 400rs from your account.

Do you think if they start withdrawing such money or even 1Rs without the users approval, they would stay in the business?

Do you really think by reaching every forum without any proof will help? though members have already explained it’s related to Uber. Be my guest and post on every forum, I bet you will find tons of @angryhulk users who will explain you the same stuff I did.

PS: who made you the moderator here? Do they hire those who are funny? I’m in if it’s like that.
