does Jio STB has jio TV for free

Yes, there’s a JioTV+ app which shows lots of channels for free. For example it’s my only source of few channels I prefer like HistoryTv, Smithsonian & TravelXP channel, these comes free even on the base 400 ₹ plan. However it needs app based subscription for star/zee/voot channels (I mean if you already are subscribed to these apps, then it will automatically come, otherwise get the Jio plan to get the subscription). If you can use the 150Mbps bandwidth then get on the 999 plan to get most channels free. You can just say “Open Comedy central channel”and it will load Voot and Comedy central in it.

For your purpose I think JioSTB is the best solution as ultimately the device costs just 1K extra. Do note this is based on my TV viewing experience on FireTV 4K Stick, Chromecast, AndroidTV, AppleTV 4k etc.. I’m not saying about the quality, but you can get easiest access to most live channels on jio stb.

Anyone has experience with DTH companies who provide OTT like Tata Sky binge.. 

Can I use my amazon prime subscription on it even if I dont recharge channel packs? Or any other such DTH which allows it ?
