My father is suffering from cough in his lungs.
Currently relying on home remedies and tried with ginger kadha but it didn’t helped much.
Does anybody knows any cough syrup which removes all cough?
For OTC, Benadryl has syrups based on whether it is dry or wet or mixed cough. If it’s since longer time like 1 week or 2 weeks, reason could be infection, allergy etc which doctor can ascertain.

A bit depressing that people are either misinformed, have wrong notions about random internet platforms
OR have unbridled faith in them (on the platforms being the right place).
Even more depressing is when that is for serious stuff like medical care giving or critical financial or professional advice.
(And to top it all, everyone thereafter comes with a Ph.D in Neuroscience or a CFA + P.G. Degree from Oxford, Ivy league B-schools. Aur phir yahain aa kar gyaan _ _ _ _te hein.)

If western medication (or even the alleged Ayurvedic, Unani treatment s) have to be given, the patient’s diagnosis is required.
In home remedies, even harad-shahad did help us a lot through our childhood and even now.
Harad has to be slightly roasted though.. just slightly. On an Indian wok/kadhai.
We just grind it to a powder after that and add honey and preferably keep it in a non plastic or non metal comtainer.
(Honey means honey. Not the processed, double/ triple filtered ones).
But even 👆🏽this👆🏽 is not direct advice for YOUR patient.
Merely shared what we do in our homes as first line of care.
And even in our own close circles, those with pollen allergies😔 and other conditions.. have no other option than to go for processed ‘honey’ (the filtration process often entails adding heat or moisture to honey. Once viscosity is manageable enough for micro filtration, the ‘honey’ is again heated after filtratiin or the previously added moisture/aqueous solution removed by some other.. possibly chemical.. reaction).
The exact condition of your parent and their reasons for a chest condition may well be different.
Needs physical checking/ consultations most of the time.

If it’s because of cold and has mucus
first 2 days or until mucus phensedyl cr
next 2 days or until dry cough reswas
Sometimes the cough is due to reused cooking oil , or consuming outside fried food, in that case,he should just avoid that kind of food
Pls take him to doctor immediately instead of seeking advice online
