As i keep my salary in my icici saving account most of the time and will pay my credit card bill

Please note that they are blocking the card if misused. Personally faced it... they didn't block/freeze my savings account, unlike how generally it happens, but rather just permanent blocked/hotlisted my card from their back-end. Some other people have reported that they freeze the savings account, but I guess for me since I happened to have somewhat decent nrv with them, they blocked the card only.

I hold platinum easyshop from HDFC and on the website it's mentioned that 1% cashback is applicable only on telecom and utilities.

Are you sure credit card payment would attract cashback and also in how many days would the cash points get credited after the transaction?

My CC Bill transaction on BillPay portal & app failing again and again. Error code is "declined on BillPay due to 0399 - 0399 - PBE10002-Transaction not permitted to cardholder." I have been trying since last one week. Mailed to HDFC support. But they look kinda ignorant.
