Their mobile app is trash though.

MAB requirement depends upon branch if ur branch is semi urban or rural u have to maintain as per that.

There is no specific option in app to check that.

My branch is Semi-Urban but they have verbally asked me to maintain Metro city requirements.

HDFC 10k account I got for 5k MAB and they occasionally send emails about it.

tell me IFSC code of your branch , i will ask and revert here. If you had opened account online then it was easy they show you few branches nearest to you and you can choose and they show mab requirements there but for offline either u have to take their word or confirm from cc.

i think your branch is urban only according to the initial funding amount, initial funding amount is less for semi-urban/rural areas.
Axis is considering ur area as urban .

Their services are very poor and not in order. I am only able to use a savings account using the mobile app.

1. How much edge points per 100₹ spend? Redemption Options and ROI % ?
2. Do they provide account number choice (like 1st 4 digits fix followed by say mobile number, like HDFC) ?
3. Do they provide free Debit card like HDFC (no issuing & annual fees) ?
4. Basic services such as NEFT RTGS  cheqbook etc are free?
5. Why do you think remaining 80-90% dimers have negative feedback about Axis Bank ?

1. ROI is flat 0.3% for my card but as i said before , it is settled within a week and don’t have much restrictions. I have kotak 811 and i get rewards when i add money there. 150*3= 450rs.(i can add max 50k,3transactions) .It don’t have 10k limit like SBI. i get rewards even on paytm add money. i found it much better than hdfc as i can see transactions where i got rewards where i didn’t.I can pay credit card bills from there when i don’t have other options and that too unlimited rewards.

2. i opened account online don’t have much information on it.

3. On my account i paid 590 and received 500rs back in form of reward points.

4. only imps is paid others are free.

5. I can’t generalize other people experinces they may have their own set of experinces with Axis.

1. In first answer you mentioned you earned 5k points equivalent to 1k₹. This 0.5% reward rate for debit card. But later you said 0.3% flat.

2. If you can confirm from CC/RM if a/c number choice is available, also in which varient.

3. You paid 590(-500) 90₹ for debit card. And 500 points= 166₹, hence almost 250₹/pa debit card cost.

There is nothing like best. But in my experience 

govt. banks experience mostly depends on service staff there. Majority over 45 age show and tell you all the rules they learnt until that time, provided they know you have some political or money background. Mostly serves the rural and their attitude matches to them. However the banks do good when they are in tier1 & tier2. Staff mostly are well mannered. The only problem is they may insist on physical visit and ask hell lot of documents for almost everything. We dont get the feeling of being settled. They have unions and job security.

on the other hand pvt. banks

They are well mannered and have target of other products. They keep mining your accounts and keep bothering if they find you suit their targets. The service they offer in this case is good. If you dont fit in their target requirements, you may see little dip in their service. Well mannered 90% of time. Dont need to visit branch and everthing over phone and online. Lack of job security is another reason, i feel we get good service.

I have dealt with sbi, iob, central bank, union bank, icici and hdfc.

Out of all i find sbi better in PSU.

Icici is good  hdfc better.

Now a days all banks have contract employees for non banking related products and fds ( both private and public) they bother too much in sbi and icici the moment we enter in tier 1 cities.

1. we get 0.30 paisa on 100rs (transaction amount i mentioned).
1 point = 0.20 paisa but this really doesn’t matter main thing is 30 paisa on 100rs.
i get 3 reward points per 200.
I have online rewards debit card which is default for axis ASAP.

2. i don’t have RM on my account it is just a basic account.

3. i got 2500 reward points = 500rs
1 rewardpoint = 0.20 paisa.

4. Cheque book didn’t receive at all but it is showing free for me to apply in Internet banking.

5. amazon gv / flipkart gv and almost every other voucher but no statement credit.

well iam using salary acc zero bal and i opened it only for creditcard but now using this as my primary acc, fully satisfied with icici , this is even better than HDFC 

how did you get rupay Platinum? 

they issue me default visa card and calling customer care is of no use. They say visit branch to get Rupay. Called 4-5 times and nobody took the request for rupay platinum
