Pay credit card bills using SBI rupay card, pay with it at Paytm and you will get 100 sbi rewardz points for each 10000 transaction.
Each point worth 0.25 paise, so 25 rupees, redeemable on a hundred brand vouchers including Amazon and flipkart or you can use it for recharge.

Any sbi debit card would give rewardz points but not any card can be used for paying credit card bills, hence the rupay variant specifically.

IDBI RuPay Platinum debit card give 0.5% rewards points.
No idea, rewards point eligible for credit card bill pay through paytm or not.

Credit card bills through debit cards are not generally rewarded by private banks, but sbi although made a formal announcement last year that credit card bills won’t count for rewardz is still giving it for me every month.
See it’s not against cred or anything bro, cred is the gold standard for cc payment thats why comparing with it.
The other thing is even Paytm is asking me access to read mails and messages, to inform about due dates and amounts, I didn’t allow that feature though.
I know but It’s still working with paytm-sbi rupay combo dude, I’m using the same every month, try to pay a 500 yourself and see, rewardz will be credited in a few days without fail.

There are actually better ways to pay cc bills if you are not averse to money rotation. Using cards like dhani/paulpay etc can give better benefit of course with more complicated procedure & always the risk of money getting stuck for days/weeks.
How do you get both HDFC Platinum Debit card and Millenia debit card ?

Platinum credit card came with my account, millenia I had applied from branch. Can’t apply for a second card in NetBanking

You should use billpay section in NetBanking and pay with debit card as payment option.
you didn’t mention which credit card, assuming it is HDFC CC, there is no provision in billpay section to pay HDFCs own cards, it’s for other banks CC payment
Paid my ICICI Apay card bill via HDFC BillPay on 8/11/21, amont still not credited in ICICI card, due date 15th. HDFC account shows Transaction successful & DC cashback Received already.
1) Is this normal?
2) Should I wait or pay bill via UPI separately?
3) Will HDFC refund money AUTOMATICALLY if amount failed to credit to beneficiary?
4) Customer care says print CDF form, fillup & email.

@Juniper With HDFC Billpay always try to pay with 7+ days in hand, which you have already done.
They do some manual checks I guess which stretches the time during weekends and long holidays, otherwise this should have taken just a day.
I tend to pay immediately after bill generation to be on the safer side.
Also just a point to note: It’s not always that credit cards update the payment date to your actual payment date in HDFC bill pay scenario. For example I paid my Amex card on 5th Nov on HDFC and it on Amex it says “08 Nov PAYMENT RECEIVED. THANK YOU”.

So this is your suggestion to pay Credit card bill on any app i.e Paytm or mobikwik or whatever it is, by SBI debit card, is it only eligible for SBI rupay card? Or all variant of SBI? Cause I know SBI gives 20 point for 2000 transaction for visa card that is 5/- if I’m not wrong.
Actually I have migrated to HDFC platinum/millenia use for credit card payment.
But if someone has only SBI card what you said looks promising, I will find out more and update
