I used to have sbi account in a different branch and closed it some 7 years back.
Now i am thinking of opening with full kyc savings with zero balance and without debit card and cheque book. Use this only for online transfers and if possible for FDs.
What is the best account thay i can open using yono app with video kyc and without any annual charges and without debit card and just need yono app and internet banking.

Zero balance meaning? No MAB is required? Aren't all PSU banks have a mandatory 2k p.m. Minimum balance requirement?
@PascalJi But all i read on website is personalized debit card comes with it and there are yearly charges. Also exact name of savings account please?

Personalised card is different.
There are 2 names for same account. If you open offline, it's called regular savings account, if on YONO, it's Insta savings or something.
I'd personally suggest opening offline. Fill the form correctly & if they sell shit like insurance, don't buy that.
The card is given for free & charges are from second year. If you don't want it, just deactivate it through internet banking.
For upi u compulsory need the debit card
For setting or changing UPI PIN debit card is required
Once PIN is set, you can deactivate debit card and continue UPI

Can old accounts be zero balance or only for new accounts its zero balance?
all sbi account are zero balance. new, old doesn't matter.
All SBI accounts are zero balance
Open the regular one, it's good enough
