Using iball nirantar since 2012… bought from Shopclues… … it runs 1 router, 2 laptops, 1 tv, 1 Android box simultaneously without any issues… battery lasts 2-3years… changed it thrice so far for 700-800 from local market… I am quite happy with it…

Got Artis 600VA UPS from Amazon last week. Tested it with my Fibre Modem, lasted 6 hours and 15 minutes (Router Adapter is rated at 0.4 Amp (max)). Makes a beep sound every 10 seconds when its on battery backup (not very loud though), will open it up and remove the speaker today as my parents dont like it.

These kind of ups used to cost 1200-1400 earlier right??

I found cheapest new Artis/ Zebronics @1999 minus any promotion.

Which brand shall I choose?

Don’t have faith on UPS..

APC is the best ups but also the costliest. UPS power rating is 60% of its VA rating so 600VA ups can deliver up to 600*0.6=360W. Backup time depends on installed ups battery & the power consumption.

600VA APC ups gives 2.8 min of backup for full 360W load & 12.7 min of backup for 180W load.

Just for my curiosity, has anyone tried replacing the battery on a 600VA UPS with a higher capacity, would it actually work? In principal, I think any capacity 12V battery should essentially work but not very sure if the UPS electronic circuitry has any difference based on the capacity (maybe to dissipate the extra heat or something). #CivilEngineer . I know it might not fit the UPS body, but I’m open to some DIY and keep the battery separate than the UPS body (drilling holes into the UPS body to run the wires)
