What is the best way to pay for the railway tickets? I don't have any irctc specific credit cards.

I work at a place 750kms away from my hometown. I usually book 6 tickets in a year (2 to 4 members). And 2 tickets for other tours.Worth (Around 60k this year).

any additional charges over the actual irctc charges?

Other way is to buy AGV with 5% cashback & pay via Amazon wallet in irctc (if available, haven't tried yet) or book via Amazon (20-40rs additional charge per booking)

There are multiple types of MMT Vouchers available. Can you please post the link of the MMT Voucher that works for train tickets from Amazon & Flipkart? TIA.

When buying tickets through HDFC SmartBuy there is an IRCTC / online convenience fee (over Rs 30 per booking whether it is 1 ticket or 6 tickets) + 1% Payment Gateway charges for paying via CC. Neither of the two is extra or over and above what you would have to pay even if you directly used the IRCTC site. Yes, if you used UPI then the 1% Payment Gateway charges would be saved but you won't get any cashback / points.

Long story short - If you have an HDFC credit card or even an HDFC debit card, use HDFC SmartBuy.
