I observed that now even Mobikwik has started charging 2 times fees. 1 on adding money to wallet. And then 2nd fee again when paying using wallet. Ridiculous.
Also, Amex cannot be used for rent payment. So then what are some best ways to use Amex?

Exactly. Although I did ask this question 1 year ago and some 10% people did try to help.

I tried to use amex mrcc today was able to do rent transaction @ 2.35% on mobikwik. Also was getting 1%cashback. I cancelled at otp stage since don't want to pay the net 1.35% charge.

Mobikwik is not charging for upto 2500, yes for CC payment its charging
all options over for MRCC - better to close it; this month I could use 2.5%CB offer from Paytm I did 4x12K for just 4x20rs approx

Mobikwik is charging for under 2500 also. I added 2000 rupees. Got charged fees.

I find AMEX to be worthless too unless you are someone looking for jugaads all the time. Not for folks who want to use it for genuine transactions and get rewarded aptly.
I am just waiting to hit 24k points to get a gift card and then close it.

- Get an add-on card on your family member's name
- Load 2K each using primary card on your PayTM account via Uber/Zomato/Samsung Pay
- Repeat using add-on card on your family member's PayTM account.
- Use the wallet money for merchant payments/ pay CC bill using them
PS: I heard from a friend that add-on card has different card number. I have not personally verified.
