Received this email today from CKYC. Airtel updated the CKYC address without my consent and all of a sudden. Have done wallet-KYC like 3-4 months back.

And they say, I have given them proof of possession of aadhar(OVD), which can only be given offline.

Many on Twitter also faced this, but Airtel is saying it’s a technical glitch at CKYC’s end, What a joke!!

P.S.: All this for a wallet account, I don’t have any bank account with them.

With my experience, no other wallet did this before! Only MFs and Bank accounts.
.
I might be over-reacting here but “proof of possession of Aadhar” can only be given offline and I have only done EKYC with them.
CYKYC should change their email draft from updating of address to something else. Everyone is shocked after reading that for the first time.
What’s wrong in that??
CKYC is your central KYC repository…any wallet/banks where you do KYC will go and update CKYC.
