Beware of some delivery agents

Delivery agents are hired on contractual basis and most of them are paid below ₹10,000 monthly.

Therefore, delivery agents who do fraudulent activities are on the rise to raise their income.

They either replace the original item with counterfeit/different item or mark the item delivered even without delivering it.

They then resell the items to some common seller for money. They generally do not sell directly to customers.

They do not fear of getting caught.

Even if they caught for doing fraudulent activities, they pay the amount/compensation and start working for the same or different contractor again.

They earn extra money by doing all this.

They think that even if 1 or 2 fraudulent activities get caught out of 10 such activities, they can earn extra money even after paying compensation.

Criminal action is mostly not initiated by contractors or suppliers against delivery agents for theft/loss.

You will be shocked to know that even some contractors are involved in fraudulent activities.

Faced this with even trusted or lets say famous courier partners such as ecom express, e-kart and even DTDC, when complained they keep on saying that we will investigate and provide solutions

Just 2 days ago Amazon delivery agent marked my product delivered.. he just called and marked product delivered...Called CC ,after multiple contacts they issued a refund.

Now I realised even Amazon can't be trusted..

Based on delivery ratings & experience, companies should offer rankings for delivery executives, & high value items should only be delivered by highly ranked delivery executives, who should receive greater incentives. GPS devices can also be used to track high-value item deliveries, just like we track food deliveries & cabs.

Good suggestion but practically speaking there is a big churn in these guys who make deliveries for such meager salary. No one sticks around for too long and probably dont care about getting good ratings. If they get a few thousands more in some other place they'll jump right away.
