They had full plan for each Indian Batsman and they executed it very well.
Look how they brought Maxwell when Rohit started hitting Hazlewood
and Field placement was such that Kohli and KL like players were not getting boundaries
For SKY they had perfect fielding placement
Aus were desperate, dedicated which showed sign in their fielding, what a fielding, best of the whole Tournament.

Australia was well planned !! studied pitch well. Executed the plan very well.
WE on the other side, apart from Rohit no one played fearless cricket in the final ,
Took too much pressure on them (Gill , Iyer, Sky, Jadeja)
Batting , fielding and Bowling (after 15 overs) all the 3 formats were flop.

Rohit Did well, but got over aggressive seeing Hat-Trick of boundaries by Virat and got caught
This was his worldcup, he had to stay there, something more of him required to Win the final, it was never going to be easy.
If Rohit stayed instead of Kohli or KL, things would have been different.
But Virat and KL partnership brought more pressure than relief, without boundaries/runs there is no point of partnership if scoreboard is not moving.
Aus. Head and Labuchagne partnership was first stability then boundaries every now and then.
What's the point of being best batsman of the world when you cannot score runs at a pace in the given situation.
After Losing the Final, Rohit looked most Disheartened than any other player(Virat/Siraj/..)
Good Thing is We have progressed from Semifinal(2019) to Final(2023)
Lets see next time, without over confidence aka- "Jeetega to India Hi"- this was more of a commercial purpose Tag Line than the World Cup Trophy

I think India played brilliantly throughout the tournament and should be praise for their commitment.
The only thing that i dont understand when you have this much caliber team and everyone is in prime form, why would you play on this slow and dull pitch.
Had this been a batting flat pitch, would would have atleast enjoy but again the same mentality as test.

Gill ka to aisa hi hai
jab Rohit marna shuru krta hai to Gill pressure me aa jata hai, aur khud marne ki utpatang koshish krt hai aur OUT ho jata hai
Trans: Gill takes pressure from Rohit's batting as if he is not able to match Rohit but what is the need to match with Rohit, you play your game, like Virat Plays.
