I got my bob rupay easy card in april..... 34k limit.... Used more than a lakh in three months...
Mailed them to upgrade to rupay premier on [email protected] on basis of my spends...
They upgraded just on a single mail... No form... No cibil hit... No questions... Card dispatched today.... Not sure about limit or card type visa or rupay.... Will see on delivery....
Update - The card is indeed premier and also rupay variant with same limit as my easy card.... The new card number is updated in dashboard...
I had selected the BOB SELECT CC Variant and completed VKYC on Monday 27th June, they told me to wait till a week and tell me when should I expect any approval regarding SMS/email. I had shown the limit of 80k while applying
Is Select Variant good than Premier? @batmanBABA

Its good for online transactions.... It gives 5x on online spends....
But in hierarchy premier is superior than select... Its just after eterna.... And select was available on mastercard before ban.... Now they give visa... Its not available on rupay platform....

Only eterna is good… Rest are just for c2c applications…. Premier gives 5x on travels… Which means 2% returns.. That is why I upgraded to that… My most spends are in it… On select… I would have only got 5X. I. E only 1% as select gives 1 points per 100 on normal spends..Premier gives 2 points per 100… And also only upto 1000 points per month…. In premier limit is 2000 points p. M

In actual, premier give 0.5% only even on travel (2.5% is as per terms).
I and few others booked flights via cleartrip 20% offer. All of us got 0.5% cb only. When asked cc, they just said it's based on mcc and they can't do anything.

If they wont give then you can complaint to rbi ombudsman.... Or either they should tell on which websites the 2% is applicable.... I will surely do it... After recent rbi rules... You are more empowered as a customer.. Dont leave them...

- 5X i.e. 10 Reward Points for every Rs. 100 spent on Travel, Dining and Abroad (International spends)
- 2 Reward Points for every Rs. 100 spent on other categories
- That means on amazon... U will get 0.4%
- Better to use junio card on amazon... 3% on load via upi plus 1% on online transactions.... This month 1% is not yet live....
- If u have apay card then best after recent removal of amazon from all affliate programs

In their terms, it is written that only mcc code of …. ate eligible. So I don’t think even rbi ombudsman can do anything here.

Why are u considering 0.2rs per point. It’s 0.25 per point. So 0.5% for normal category and 2.5% for accelerated.

Then they should clearly mention the websites.... Is there any way to know mcc codes of websites...??
Nop, no way to know.

5X Rewards Terms & Condition
For crediting 5X Reward Points on eligible transactions, the Credit Card issuer (BOB Financial in this case) relies on the correct International/online flag or Merchant Category Code (MCC) identifier provided by the merchant acquirer (provider of the card acceptance service to the merchant). These flags/identifiers are as per rules laid out by the card networks (Visa, Mastercard, RuPay etc.). If the merchant acquirer does not send the flag/identifier or sends an incorrect flag/identifier, BOB Financial will not be able to identify such transactions as eligible transaction for 5X reward points benefit, resulting in awarding of only regular Reward Points (and not 5X) on such transactions. The sub categories and their respective MCCs for spend categories eligible for 5X Reward points include the following:
International - International transaction flag provided by Merchant AcquirerDining - 5812 and 5814Travel - 4722
The category of purchase will be decided on the basis of the Merchant Category Code (MCC) for the merchant establishment where the purchase is made. BOB Financial reserves the sole right to decide on whether a purchase meets the eligibility criteria as listed above.BOB Financial is not liable for any disputes that arise due to differences in merchant category code mapping maintained by acquiring banks. Cardholder is requested to validate Merchant Category Code (MCC) from the merchant before making swipe on his card. Only the above listed MCCs shall entitle the cardholder for Accelerated Reward Points on his card. .Posting of additional Reward points is an automated process and the same will reflect in the next monthly statement.

No idea, it keeps changing. Check with someone who got it recently and used there. It may vary even with the gateway. Easiest way is to do a 100rs transaction and see.
