Book writing

Need a suggestion for book writing. 

1) Which are good/ unique fonts for a book.

2) Which are good (free)softwares/apps for writing. Printing should look natural.

3)what apps/ai apps/sw can be used to create book cover

PS. My niece is writing a book. Book is personal story of someone.

If anyone can suggest reference book for same for size deciding.
