tags (from non whitelisted accounts) only work with quotes it seems..
or did you get it for the above post (idontknow) https://www.desidime.com/forums/dost-and-dimes/...
.
i hope AP circle BSNL isn’t SOOO stupid as to stop auto-debit of main balance even to renew the PV after its expiry.

Can validity extension subscribed through deducting from balance…..??

yes, it can be.
but if done manually and some existing ‘validity only’ recharge… aka Plan Voucher (PV) is there on the number
then
one can only renew/ subscribe to the same PV / validity extension.
↑above information ↑ was true as of February 2020 first week, for 3 circles at-least.
.
also, suppose one doesn’t do anything manually, then their system would auto-debit main balance after expiry of the PV (expiry of outgoing facility), provided sufficient unencumbered main balance is available.

now, i’m not 100% sure of the following, but some customer service representatives say that it is possible.

PV/ tariff plan can have either per second or per minute pulse.
For example: Rs. 74 plan might be per second pulse and Rs. 75 plan has per minute pulse.

in many places, BSNL has a Rs. 19 validity extension (PV) which gives 28days or so, but it has per minute pulse.
now as per some executives
if on Plan expiry day/time.. main balance is low (say 30-40 rupees) and number has the 75 rupee plan / per minute pulse.
then system would extend validity by debiting 19 rupees from the 30-40 rupees (in the main balance of the number).
and thus outgoing would not stop even though main balance was less then 75.
but like i mentioned, this hasn’t been personally witnessed.
someone has an upcoming PV expiry coming late next month
but can’t say whether they’ll manually recharge or agree to test the above story.

for people like @rajrocks above, the 100Rs. balance they have might get auto-debited if that’s possible in their circle and existing PV is less than 100.
system debits main balance within 3-4 hours of outgoing expiry (00:00 to 4a.m.)
