Bulk Similar Content Business Msgs from Personal Mobile

I remember one incident in 2010-11 when I used to work with small start up and as a employee I used to send sms of predefined content from Hutch Vodaphone prepaid Punjab mobile Nokia 1100 as our company advertisement. We used to send 100 Sms daily to related Indian numbers with having a previeliedge of free pack of 3000 Sms per month on our number.

Everything went well in begining months untill suddenly in the evening the prepaid number lost the signal despite being having full Recharge. To our surprise Vodafone/ Hutch stopped the mobile services to that number and forfeited the number too and when we called customer care the executive said he cannot see any kind of history of that number.

We all know that incident happened due to misusing free sms to promote or advertise our buisness by sending multiple and similar content messages and after that we could never get that number back.

So now my question is I have my own travel buisness on small scale. I have my own Jio prepaid punjab number with good series 98********. If I start sending similar content messages to spread word will there be any issue.

I need to know if those kind of restrictions still exists in Telecom industry or if we can use the free services to send predefined similar content to related numbers of known travellers freely without any hassle.

I do not want to loose my only number.
I do not want to change my number.

I know that we have these days bulk sms service providers but I do not want to pay that’s why I am asking
