Had mailed zerodha and they said its been credited to my zerodha account instead of bank, dont know why. Anyways I had received amount in zerodha on 8th

In case of buyback is it taxable for shareholder?
For example, TCS is buying back at 4500 but i bought at 3600. So is thr gain taxable??

Also, when do we get the amount credited in bank – how long does it take??

amount will get credited on April 1st

company de deti hai tax bhai. Saab kaat kutke milta hai shareholders ko. Toh shareholders ko kuch karna nai hota hai. 🙂

amount will get credited 4500 only. 

company will pay 20% tax on this amount. 

so amount shareholders will get will be tax free in the hands of share holders
