I am assuming rewards portal has different password from regular axis netbanking site so one can share their rewards portal username password with another person who can then convert the points to tickets or you mean to say the name on ticket itself need to be same as reward acc holder.

buying a ticket from the travel edge portal with reward points is not the best utilisation

Isn't the best conversion ratio for magnus points is via converting to intermiles/air miles & then further convert it to tickets?

it is. you cant transfer points to someone else’s account because airlines do name match. try your luck
