Has anyone ever bought/ pre owned used cars via Droom
Unlike other portals, Droom asks to pay a token amount (approx 6-7k Rs) just to get the details of the seller. This amount is refundable as per them.
Is it trustworthy?

Can you elaborate a bit.
What about something like cars24? Don’t have to pay upfront there but the cars listed there don’t look in good condition
Exactly why even try it. We bought from truebil. Look for individual sellers only.
car24 is bigest scam then congress in india
can u please explain, i am looking to buy a used car from cars24.
Don’t know how it’s relevant but listen it out.
My first car was 2nd hand 5 year old of a dentist. Heavily worked on at maruti service centre under insurance since was flooded in Mumbai rains.
Parts were not repaired but Straight replaced and used car agent was very clear about it, also Low mileage of 35000 kms.
Over the period of next 6 years I spent exactly double I paid for buying it.
So upgrade was a brand new car again a maruti.
Have not spent any money on it except insurance, regular servicing and oil change and 1 set of tyres and a battery in last 9 years and 65k kms.
From present condition it will last full 15 years re purposed for business use since its cng.
[aside of the fact that you knowingly took a half a decade old vehicle for family use despite being aware of possibly salty sir corrosion and water-logging damage during cloudburst]
so what you might be hinting at is, that;
it would be a good idea/ worth a shot to find an honest counterparty/ person/ couple who might have had the vehicle for their partner/ spouse or otherwise not having run too much. (this is where the trust factor, honesty kicks in).
and hopefully it would be a fair dwal for both sides, right?
bit confused though… thst this new (when purchased) car (Maruti¿) has had good service for how many years? 9 or
anyway, if aware or if want to opine; between these two ⏭Mahindra’s FirstChoice⏮ and ⏭marutisuzukitruevalue.com Maruti’ TrueValue⏮ which would you overall rate better?
ofcourse the local options or regional players are better at times but i just took two of the pan-India names.
and sorry, now i understood. that it is repurposes for professional/business use and might be sold after 15 years of service (9 of which are completed). is that right?
A Very Good Night, a cousin of ours bought their landlady or her relative’s “not much used” Ford something.
They were fairly happy with the price and condition of the car they got.
People can be trusted if known.
If you are choosing a car for permanent use and want to order it from Droom, then I advise you to choose a car very carefully. I love collecting cars, I love fixing them, so I love to dig around on this site and look for something interesting for myself. Even at first I thought “how much does it cost to ship a car to another state”, but everything turned out to be not as expensive as I thought. You can check them. So, there are many nuances, think for yourself whether it is worth saving on the car, and then spending a lot of money on fixing it, if it comes in working order at all, or it is still better to save money and take something more expensive and of better quality. I would advise you not to chase cheap cars.
Droom is legitimate. No problem in paying it if you like the vehicle and its price. All t&c are mentioned their itself. One of my friend also paid tocken and he ended up buying the car as it was a good deal.
Truebill, spinny, first choice are other good options. Otherwise if you are good in inspecting the vehicle by yourself then you can check on Olx also. There are some pretty good deals.
In general, no matter where you order a car, it is important to take good care of that it travels well, so I advise you to contact them. At least, if you order a car that you are going to repair, then you will be sure that it will reach you without any problems.
why you want to waste your money
