In total I have 3 bags.
So, Can I carry a laptop bag and a duffle bag with me in the flight cabin ? Can somebody please confirm this ?

Depends on airlines. I have seen Indigo, Air Asia and Vistara stopping people at the boarding gate for carrying two bags, incl laptop bags.

Depends on location also. Saw many taking two bags in Lucknow Airport..
