can I convert icici platinum visa cc to rupay varient

Yes very easily but give a request for Rupay CC on twitter not from ICICI customer care. Tag ICICI official handle on twitter ask to upgrade your card to rupay card. It will processed in 7 days. Your existing will also work along with Rupay CC. Actually limit will be shared with your existing platinum CC. You may get your existing card closed if you don't wish to use.

In my case No as my existing coral card was life time free, but if your current card has annual fee then card can be chargeable. You have to get it confirmed with ICICI. I got email from ICICI where it was mentioned life time free card.

Meaning they are converting Platinum Visa CC to RuPay Coral? 😳😲Original poster asked about Platinum because it is easy to get, Coral LTF not many get, even paid.

No they just issue a rupay credit card & credit limit will be shared with your current ICICI card.

I wonder how they are ok with issuing RuPay Coral if it has higher benefits like railway lounge access whereas Platinum Visa does not. Also Coral by itself is not LTF for everyone, only certain pre-approved customers.

You are holding LTF platinum visa? They have only coral in rupay variant. So, technically not possible to issue other card as LTF. Pls update here, will try if it works.

I have Rupay coral.i don't suggest it. It isn't getting detected as ICICI card in many sites. Including for Amazon ICICI offer it's not getting detected

Got a Call from ICICI Bank after My Tweet and they are willing to Provide me the ICICI RuPay Coral Credit Card on Basis of My Existing ICICI Platinum Card LTF but on a PAID (590/-) Basis. This is the only reason I am not opting for it! I also asked them to Provide me LTF since my card is free and they said this card is on Chargeable basis!

They have no rupay cards as ltf wtf

I think those who are having ICICI CORAL VISA as a LTF they can get this RuPay variant as LTF!

As confirmed from ICICI Twitter support themselves and over phone call too, only those who have LTF Coral on Visa can convert it to LTF Coral on RuPay. In all other cases, RuPay Coral will be a chargeable card (even if you hold other ICICI credit cards).

Overall Icici not a good option for rupay card
