This is India, paying your employees' salary by credit card comes under commercial usage (aka working capital requirements) which is not allowed for retail credit cards. If getting business credit card then again paying employees' salary via rent payment is violation of labour laws related to salary & if somebody complained or it is found out then definitely will need to pay much more in bribes to settle the matter.
may be gettting a business credit card is best for such purposes ..
Soon, paytm, mobikwik, cred, freecharge etc will introduce "Pay employee salary via credit card"
After few months -
Axis bank - W.e.f - 15th June, 2023, Cashback shall not be eligible for following spends/transactions on the card -
o Fuel Spends
o EMI transactions
o Purchases converted to EMI post facto
o Wallet loading transactions
o Cash advances
o Rent
o Salary payment made through MCC 420420
After few months other banks also release same type of circular.
BOB/SBI Card/IndusIND/HDFC etc W.e.f - XX Month, 2023 Cashback shall not be eligible for following spends/transactions on the card -

Infact, we will receive this msg from ICICI bank -
Dear Customer, starting XX-Month-23, all transactions on your ICICI Bank Credit Card towards Employee Salary payment will be charged a 1% fee.
One fine day someone will ask for the salary to be paid via amazon gift cards
