Last weekend I just stumbled upon a short story called The Little Match Girl , n then read another story A Dog of Flanders. I loved both of em.

Then I read a short novel called ‘I Want to Eat ur Pancreas’ and loved it too.

I finsished Shadow King and A Silent Patient but they were quite long and couldn’t be finished over weekend(atleast by me).  So want good ol short stories of any author that touched you. I wud prefer eng translated stories from other countries , so in that way they cud be unique not much known, but u can recommend any that touched u even if its known coz I can’t be knowing every single good story right. blush blush
You can also jog ur memories while remembering right? So want u to hv some good time too, I cud hv asked anywhere , but want Desidime family to get involved too. So that we can share our fav short stories collection.
Thx in advance. blush blush

This was in CBSE 9th std. English Lit. book. I had read & explained this story to one boy just 10 days back for his class final exams. Lovely story indeed.
The Begger by Anton Chekhov was also there. That was also a good one.

During school & college days I used to frequent book fairs looking for a bargain. Purchased a thick book of short stories by writers like Guy de Maupassant (The Necklace), Anton Chekov (The Lottery Ticket), Katherine Mansfield (The Fly), Kate Chopin (The Story of an Hour), Tagore (The Post Office)
Prefer reading short stories about individual’s journey & whole gamut of emotions. It has been a while… will be reading ‘A Retrieved Reformation’ soon.
