Canada visa payment denied error

Hello, I am trying to make payment for Canada visa using icici credit card. However I am getting error as declined transaction not approved.
Error 911 Authentication Failed. Code AVC. I checked with bank too but they said everything is okband international transaction is enabled on my card.
Anyone aware of this? Please help.
UPDATE : IRCC Twitter is full of people reporting this same issue since yesterday. It looks like issue from IRCC.

Yes it is mentioned that visa mastercard allowed. I tried both visa and mastercard credit cards.
Try using paypal route if available
Only credit debit card as per company policy.. Pls help

You can try one thing: go to Amazon.com (.com not .in) and buy a 1$ gift card using your credit card; if the transaction goes through then it means something wrong with respect to that Canada visa payment gateway; if it fails even on Amazon.com then it means your card issuing bank company is blocking/declining international transaction.
Do note that this will cost you 1$ if the transaction succeeds…

Use other card if possible , if it also throw same error , could be problem at backend

Hey @puneboy, I’m also trying to complete a transaction for a Canadian Bridging Open Work Permit (BOWP) but every time I am getting a transaction denied notification. I have tried both debit & credit VISA and credit MasterCard. I don’t have any other cards left to try! Currently waiting to speak to IRCC but need to sort before the weekend as our current work permit expires.

Apparently it’s a technical fault. If submitting is urgent (like our situation), we have been advised to complete a paper-based application.

Recently I made payment to Triton BG Check Canada Ontario which accepts credit card/ PayPal. I enabled international Transaction and payment went through from my icici card. I don’t know what went wrong to you?
Not sure bro. I am entering all details correctly.. I used card earlier on aliexpress, banggood websites but never faced this issue.
You have Indian icici credit card? Or Canada version?
I guess then it is most likely a mismatch between payment processing settings used by payment gateway of these Canadian sites & Indian banks(many info fields mandatory for successful processing of payments in US/EU are not required by Indian banks like address field, name field etc).

Bro report to ircc through web form and tell maximum people to do so. So they can look into it.
@puneboy – It is not the fault of your card. It is a technical fault on their end. I am using Canadian bank cards & it doesn’t work. They advised me it was a technical glitch and others are experiencing issues. The solution provided was to either wait it out until the glitch was fixed (submitting a technical fault enquiry) or call IRCC about alternative solutions.

I have the same issue, I only have visa debit & credits from cibc and it seems like it doesn’t even try to process, just go direct to this very error.
Yes agree.. It quickly shows this error.. I guess they did it purposefully?
I am trying to pay for TRV and I filled out everything but I’m getting the same error message when trying to pay for it. I tried credit, debit, interac everything. Both of my bank accounts are Canadian and there seems to be no reason why the transaction should not go through. There’s no helpline to call or ask anybody about this particular issue. Please let us know if anybody manages to find a solution. I tried using VPN and different browser on different devices and this is just so stupid honestly.
