I was looking for a after market side sunshade when i saw that there are 2 types of shades: Full covering entire window VS half which does not cover the rear view mirror.
Any experience if half shades which do not cover rear view mirror are actually better in reality? Because rear view mirror is still visible in full shades.

Oh, so they are illegal!
Some new cars have these installed by default. Arent car manufacturers themselves breaking rules in that case?

Some have UV protection film which looks dark but isnt those black flims. There is level of tint allowed by rto...film like 70% on front and back glass and 50 % on side glass.

We can't say half shaded, 80% shaded would be more appropriate. For full shaded, rear view mirror ain't visible after sunset which is not the case with other. Many people use that to use it after the sunset.
Both are not legal for almost all 28 states and 8 UTs.
