I thought the policy was you can edit to add in details later on since some of it is not known when posting and it still remains valid.. In this case the title was edited but usually the details are posted in the thread itself. I have seen many posters do this. But the discounts for banks and such only lasts a few days so not worth to keep changing it every other day.

To make it easier and solve re-post issue in further days.

Better avoid, directly commenting on other thread as re-post, if both OP timing were within 1 days (as a usual dimer or moderator – we don’t know who posted/updated the complete details first or if anything was edited/updated by mods/admins). Not everyone updating full details at first, which is not necessary all the time too. They can add more details later – that’s why edit option is provided for first 24 hrs.

So, one cannot come to final decision by simply checking the time-stamp alone (this is not good habit as publicly accusing/pointing out someone that you posted re-post, without knowing/verifying full details). In-case, if there were re-post after 1+ days, it can be easily identified by anyone and mostly no need to worry about in this cases.

We had alert feature, where you can add OP link and sent, Mod/Admins will check and verify and if they found its a re-post then it will be merge.
In-case its not merged or any other issue you can directly check with Admins whom you are comfortable to talk about this (as there many Active admins like @bumblefoot @Mj911 @priyanka @Rosh_0007 @ankur2.0)

I do’nt remember the exact time at which I alerted but should be definitey after 1845
because when I received the new offer only I looked at my earlier thread.
I remember of alerting twice as the date was not changed I have heard that sometimes alerts are not recorded

@rajrocks Since you have asked again to clear it out, No there were none alerts from anyone to make such changes & it was done by admin team. Its a common practice which we(admin team) follow while highlighting offers & add more info/details if its related to deal, and at time team missed to give credit or search respective offer in forum and hence all this misunderstand is there.
Mentioning it here again which i assured in chat as well that we will make sure such things wont be repeated and/or respective credit will be given when done.
You both are senior dimers and none is at fault here, so i hope things are now clear, not locking this thread but i think we all spoke & cleared enough.
