I have observed that there is a change in Axis Freecharge Plus Credit Card Cashback.
In last statement, 13 Oct to 12 Nov, I spent 11k via 4 electricity bills on freecharge app.
Ideally I should have received 550 INR cashback on 8th Dec but I received only 139 INR.
I contacted axis customer care via chat with agent and agent confirmed that I received 5% cashback for 1 electricity bill payment and 1% for other 3 electricity bill payments. Because for 1 bill payment, the merchant name was 'FREECHARGE PAYMENT TEC MUMBAI' on 13th Oct which gave 5% CB and for other 3 bill payments, the merchant name was 'FREECHARGE PAYMENT UTI GURGAON' on 30th Oct which gave only 1% cashback. I have raised a complaint with Axis Bank to check and resolve the same. Check yours too.

I have got this virtual card yesterday after applying. Yet to get physical card.
But I am surprised to see a banner in the card details page saying "upto 2.5% back on card spends".
"ee card bhi khatam ho gayl wa..." - bhojpuri joke applicable...
Same thing happens, when I asked cc, they told cashback will be posted next month

Not sure is it for freecharge plus card or normal Freecharge card. But I have seen that normal Freecharge card does not have any cashback feature. so its confusing.
Can anyone tell what is this banner about?
It's an old banner which they haven't bothered updating yet. I'm getting 5% on every freecharge transaction as of now
