My big brother uses apple ecosystem. He suggested this for me as earlier 6 yr old HP i3 personal laptop got some issues.

Get MacBook air instead of MacBook pro m1. There is negligible performance difference between the two. Air is cheaper and looks sleeker. I would suggest spending extra on 16GB ram instead as mac start to cache data in ssd once ram is consumption is over 7gig, it wont affect performance but high disk writes becomes an issue.
