Check your cleartrip/makemytrip invoice against actual airline invoice

I also checked my recent transaction on smartbuy+cleartrip and see was charged Rs 1600/- more for a single ticket. Looks like one more headache to keep in mind after booking airline tickets.

Vu for visibility.. do we always get invoice from the airline? I know it’s silly but I’ve never noticed so asking sweat_smile sweat_smile

The reason why I prefer to book directly with airlines.
Just using all this site’s to compare fares …🤷🏻‍♂️

For indigo, just go to the website > retrieve itenary using PNR > it includes the total fare details.
Not sure why extra chages, as the article speculates maybe its older fare cached by them. Ideally they should refund it on their own.

Depends on what kind of card it is .
Most travel card allow points to be transferred to some sort of air miles as well.

They are charging “convenience fees” plus get some commission from the airlines plus earn revenue from advertisement, cross-selling customer data etc.
