Changed JOB so now the salary won't get credited to my citi account.

What will happen to my citi salary account ? I read, it will get converted to other account if there's no salary credit for 90 days and the MAB will be 1 lakh.

Is there any other saving bank account type in citi with 0 MAB ?

I know citi will get converted to axis, I don't wanna close this account just yet since I have this account registered on multiple platforms like MF & all.

Call them up and request them to convert your account to BSBD account if you want the account to continue. It is a zero balance, but you can't transact much in this BSBD account.

You can deposit same amount every month's first week so it can remain same salary account till merger into axis

There is no option for Zero balance with Citi. I had to close my Citi account last year after I moved my salary account from Citi to HDFC. They had MAB with 50000 or 70000 to start with, which was too high I felt.

Citi Non-salary account MAB is 1L (but 1Lx30days or more  covers for 60 days).

@Gauravmittal49589

Can you explain lil further please ?
My salary is very dynamic and used to keep shifting month on month by slight bit due to RSU tax calculation, shift allowance and more.

Can I share lets say 1L every last day of the month from my another account and put remarks as salary ? Will that trigger it as salary credit ?

Bank might have some way to detect salary right ?

Banks detect salary as similar amount received on similar dates and similer payee ( maybe) in private companies
Process can be different in govt. Services.
You can try doing neft on same dates 99% it will trigger as salary
