Hi,
There is an option somewhere in sbi internet banking where one can see the closed fd/mod accounts and get the statements of the same. I am not able to find it. Can someone please guide me where exactly is that option?
Thanks

I checked but also couldn’t find such option but may be that is because I never closed a fd.
It’s on the home page that appears after you login. Towards the bottom, click here to view matured/closed deposit accounts something like that
I think you need interest certificates for tax purpose?
There should be an option to download all the interest earned in the last financial year and the TDS deducted on it.
For TDS, it will be reflected in 26AS too.

No bro my friend did a huge transaction. It was paid from 5 MOD accounts. TCS was deducted on that transaction. In passbook/bank statement the MOD account numbers are not fully mentioned so we needed to check the closed MOD’s to find from which MOD’s that entry was deducted.
Keeping a track of these MOD’s is a mess but it is still better than that 2.7% savings interest rate.

As expected I don’t have this option in my sbi internet banking as I never closed any FD.

Thanks bro. Sorry for the late reply. Is there a way to check all transactions of a closed fd/mod? It is showing last 10 only.
@andromeda
Is there a way to close a fd/mod fully at home? I can see only partial closure option where in one can enter amount in the multiples of 1000.

If you open the FD online, you can close it online. I believe the physical FDs can’t be closed online. I’m not aware of MODs

I think even online opened fd can’t be closed online, read various comments on yono app in playstore where people say it is absurd that yono allows opening of fd online but not closing the same fd online.

ok I’m talking wrt onlinesbi.com
I’ve huge inertia in corner of my mind to adapt to any new app based thing, so hardly any experience with yono

It is letting to close any fd/mod but it multiples of 1000. Say your fd is 25724, say it kept on getting renewed or with interest. Then it will only let you mature/close 25000. Chutiya system.
