Comforter for summers? 🤔🤔

Currently i use a thin cotton chaddar when i sleep to put over me. I have never used a comforter.
But my sleep is poor and broken. I keep turning and pulling my chaddar.
So want to buy something comfortable. As i understand, comforter is blanket right? Or is it different?
Also i read there are all-season comforters. Does that mean i can use them in summers without feeling hot?
Any recommendation for something soft and comforting for SUMMERS?

In fan-only rooms, chadar works perfectly. Can microfiber comforter not work in fan-only rooms?
Depends on the temperature in room. If your sleep is getting disturbed due to cold then you can try it.
Edit: You can use it in other seasons if it gets too warm in current weather.

Like a lot of people, you too use the chaddar merely for comfort and won’t be able to sleep without something wrapped around your body. A comforter is definitely more pleasant and comfortable than a chaddar, but it is also warmer. So is definitely not suitable for summer’s even if you have the fan at full speed. Your sleep will be disturbed due to the heat.

Next step-up from chaddar is a dohar. It traditionally comprises of various layers of cotton/flannel/silk stitched together. It is lighter than comforter/quilt & can be used in AC rooms. Easier to wash.
Warmth provided by mass-market comforters in India depends on the weight & quality of filling (fiber etc). It’s easier to find a lightweight comforter than a heavy, properly filled one meant for deep winters. I’ve come across many reviews where customers use light weight comforters in AC room. I wash my comforter in 8kg front load washing machine.
