I am also thinking of buying an entry level printer..have same requirements of about 20 pages per month..everybody said to me to not buy printer in this case as ink will get dried up between the idle period if only 20 pages are printed in a month..not economically good decision..but I am still thinking if it's a good decision to buy printer for such requirement or not

Seeking advice from those who have been printing at their home for long time. I mean to purchase a laser printer for my irregular printing needs (about 20 prints or less per month) and I'm confused as to which company to choose. There are Brother, HP, Canon etc. Which company will be better for long-term after sales and overall reliability? Also keeping in mind the recurring cost of toner and drum which I'll need to replace down the line. Printing quality is also very important.
Budget 10 to 15k.
Advice are welcome.

The printer manufacturers particularly HP are extremely anti-consumer. For minimal requirements this white elephant of an expense is not recommended.
I am using HP MFP 126nw at home since 2016. It is used very less (about 3-4 pages a week) except during lockdown when it was used moderately high by my daughter for school purposes. However, scanner function is used more often for various things and was heavily used during lockdown. It is wifi enabled and works well with all devices at home both windows and android. Also used as a photocopier for copying 1-2 documents once in a while.
Laser cartridge does not dry up. Print quality is also good. Aftermarket good quality cartilages are available at around 600.
Having a printer at home is always useful. Particularly if the nearest market is not exactly next door. If you are buying, always opt for a laser MFP as it gives better value in the long run.
Canon 2900b laser printer. I am using at home for last 6-7 years.
If it were me, I would never buy an HP product again.
Unless you specifically want to use a laser printer, the Epson L130 ink tank is something I would recommend for occasional printing; the inks are cheap and still last a very long time even after printing thousands and thousands of pages (literally).

Ink tank dry up if left unused. In my case it could be a week or two weeks which will see no usage. Also, i don't think the texts are sharp as lasers, they come out blurrier, and blacks are not true blacks, like a version of grey.
The canon mentioned above looks to be great. But it's rather pricey. I wish it comes on a sale.
For office use, which laser printer model comes to your mind? What do you think of color laser printers? Are they costlier to refill? Price range: 11 to below 19

For office use 1005m from HP is the best. It's discontinued, maybe.
I'm using a brother DCW 7535DW laser printer, its print quality is decent and it has great features like ADF, and dual printing at 30 pages in one minute.

Yes thanks. I've added it to cart. Almost all the reviews of it are rather positive. I hope it comes at a discount in the upcoming sales. The only problem is it's single function and I would have preferred a scan-copy option. But i guess as long as it does the printing job solidly all is well and good.
Just that many mentioned that HP provides better quality prints, hence was my question.
Thanks once again
