Today i come across this website/app thru my friend.

He asked me a query regarding refund of Ticket fare for tatkal tickets, i said we wont get any refund for cancelling tatkal tickets.
He showed me the app, in the booking screen it showed one addl charges as ‘Zero cancellation charges’ and amount 82. Upon reading terms, they mentioned that if we cancel the tatkal tickets also before 4 hours, we will get full refund of the ticket fare.

Is it true??
We have not booked that Ticket. Just wanted to check if anybody tried it and how this works.
Really they are refunding, or they have addl hidden t&c which we dint notice….

smile the refund is always equal to ticket price only (no refund on convenience charge and other agent/3rd party charge )

IRCTC also deducting convenience charges on refund
For op question yes you will get refund as I can see your ticket actual price is 330 so you will get Rs330 refund on cancellation

you got it right.

As per my screenshot in main post, Total booking cost is 450 (out of which 330 is the actual ticket fare) and obviously they will return 330.

But iam concerned that, IRCTC will not provide any refund for the cancelled tickets, but Confirmtkt have to shed this 330 out of their pocket for charging Rs.82 upfront.

Posted here, so that anyone hav already availed this facility can confirm.

i don’t think this policy will work for confirmed tatkal ticket.
as per irctc – No refund will be granted on cancellation of confirmed Tatkal tickets. For contingent cancellation and waitlisted Tatkal ticket cancellations, charges will be deducted as per existing Railway rules.

Looks like a fishy scam bro. Nothing such from the irctc official notifications/ rules on return of confirmed TQ cancellation, then how the hell these guys do the same. Just avoid.. avoid like anything.

And thank you for bringing it into everyone’s notice. plus1 grinning

They are charging you extra on booking, it’s like insurance. They will pay if you cancel. They are earning from the extra amount they are charging i.e 84 plus agent service charge as well.

As said by @Foodie above, the comment section in the video shared is full of people getting scammed by this app. Plus, there’s no official confirmation from IRCTC on such a “premium” feature!

So, that left us with only one thing, no matter what they write in their app. As they know people will get convinced by such writing. And in India, nobody cares..

there is no fraud in this. Looks like Indians are not matured enough for this kind of insurance option.

IRCTC has nothing to do with this.. This is provided by website. The logic is similar to insurance business. Website is charging a premium so that they can pay for cancellation which are non-refundable as per IRCTC. Insurance company (health/auto) won’t refund the premium amount in any case. Since the less people are opting for this option, the premium is higher.

Many website like MMT/EMT/Goibibo/IXIGO/Yatra are providing similar free cancellation for flights
