Planning to take Daikin 1.5 ton 5star ac 2022 model. So contacted local dealer. Am posting al the discussion went btwn us.
I asked for the same the guy replied lik this.
1.Sir 1st of all there won’t be any diff btwn models in features whther they r made in 2020 2021 2022…al r same.. Only the stickers r diff showing the year of manufacturing.
2. I suggest u go for fixed speed ac. As u r well known to me i am suggesting this. Oresle i wud give wtvr u want. Not an issue to me
3 inverter ac r not that good when compared to fixed speed split acs.
4. As u r need is at home I suggest u to take 3 star. 5 star is not that useful. Ok i agreed with this point.
5.then i told him.. Sir i have purchased sharp 1.2 ton inverter ac in 2015. Til now no complaint is there. No gas filling too.. Then y u r saying inverter ac is not good. Then he told me at tht time sharp is no 1. So. No issues for u. It’s good company. But it’s closed now.
I ended the conversation here. N came back.

salesman giri the art of white lies. 2022 models have stricter energy ratings aka less power consumption.
5 star is better than 3 star but dependent on price diff and no hours and month the ac is to be used every year.
inverter ac is any day better than non inverter ac.
All bs puked to sell old stock of non inverter 3 star ac with 2020 ratings.
Having used both, of course, inverter AC which keeps on running instead of fully cutting off like non-inverter AC is more comfortable. 3 stars vs 5 stars is 0.1 unit/hour difference, 1 unit a day and 30 units per month = 300 inr at the highest slab, totally not worth it.
do consider checking AMC / extended warranty as well…I bought carrier inverter AC from Flipkart in 2019 and continuously every year its gas is getting leaked. After one refilling, they are now saying that coil needs to be changed which is very expensive. Inverter AC though comfortable are costlier as well. They have higher AMC and spare parts cost.

A salesman has no ethics what so ever. They will lie to sell you the product.
Similar thing happened with me also when I purchased the AC and refused to take the wall stand as I already had from my neighbor.
But sales man insited to keep this stand in case my old stand does not fit the outdoor and I can return it for 500 if it is not used.
I agreed and eventually I got Ac installed with my old stand.
Next day I went to shop to return the stand he gave me 200 rs.
I said we agreed upon 500 he said 200 is what it cost to them they can not take this back for 500.
I said I don’t give a dam if it cost you 200 or 2 Rs. return my 500
Showroom owner came and said the same thing. And asked me for the bill where stand 500 rs price and returnable was mentioned.
Then I lost my control and I threw the stand in the corner where it also hits washing machine. all customers started looking at me.
Then I shouted in Punjabi voice that these showroom people are big time theives they will do false promises to you and then will ditch you.
The owner immediately got the shock of his lifetime and handed me 500 Rs note and said ok ok sir. Then I laughed and showed the same note to everyone see I was right and here is the proof.
Lesson learned : always get the bill copy with proper bifurcation like product price + installation cost + accessories cost.

i brought marq inverter ac from flipkart in 2019. Paid 1600 for installation to jeeves 💩💩💩 service but made sure installation was done exactly as said in marq manual i.e. sucking out dust via small air compressor i asked him to bring along and checking pressure is not dropping for 5 mins via meter after gas is released in pipes. AC is working like a charm till now. My ogeneral and marq cooling are on same scale imo. Though marq saves electricity too being an inverter unit.

great bro .. can u share some links or more details of how AC is to be installed.. i usually just check for air pressure and current just after installation

If you are buying inverter model, do check warranty on PCB as this part gets damage if you have frequent power cuts (told by a local mechanic) and it costs around 5-6k. Most models come with only 1 year warranty on pcb wheras some give 5 years. I bought a LG window AC last year because it had 5 year on pcb. Also look for coating on fins if you live near areas where open water bodies are there like open sewers. 2 type of coating available, Gold fin and Blue fin, although you can do it at home just watch some videos. It helps in preventing leakage due to corrosion.
Spare parts and maintenance cost of Inverter AC is high. Better go with normal AC.

We have inverter ac lg, planning to buy one more for other room, how to know which is suitable inver or non inverter?

Suitability for inverter AC :
1. High usage (8-10 hours daily).
2. No direct sunlight on the walls of the room.
3. Room is mostly closed, no leakages or frequent opening/closing.
Go for another LG inverter if you are satisfied with the previous one. These days, not many options in non-inverter AC. Choose between 3 or 5 star depending upon usage and price difference/deals.
I have LG split dual inverter ac, all answer in reference to that
1. purchased lg 2020 model it has 4in1, recent purchase 2022 has 6in1 :: i consider it as gimmick… No difference in model.. i use only 2 modes 40% mode and hc mode
2. fixed speed will always run at 100% while variable one you can run @ 60-80% in night
3. i could see everything like washing machine, fridge, led, cooler, ceiling fav all coming with inverter technology
4. 3 star or 5 star depands on number of hrs you are using ac
