icici may be poor in terms of reward points but dont forgot that amazon card is of icici and icici is at top in terms of 10% instant discount on amazon and flipkart
Axis ACE... only card that gives 2% cashback and 5% cashback for utilities.
Basic user who doesn't have any other cards and uses this card everywhere for,
1. Bills
2. Groceries
3. Shopping
4. Travel/fuel
5. Gold purchase (on eCommerce sales)
Cards to consider:
1. Apay icici
--> LTF
--> 5% on Amazon shopping, 2% on bill pay, 1% on all other spends. No strings, no limit, no trouble.
--> for groceries every month they run 5% additional cashback offer and ₹200 on ₹2000 shopping on Amazon which on combined would be ~15-18% discount.
2. Amex MRCC
--> purchase Amazon egv from gyftr and get rewards worth ~3.8% to 4% for spends upto 20000 everymonth.
--> troubles, not accepted everywhere and non-LTF.
--> don't but I like this card for additional insurance discounts(2-5% occasionally mostly drying jan-march period)
--> best CC support but low acceptance for offline merchants, for fuel 2+% charges applied
3. Airtel axis CC
--> 25% on Airtel recharge upto 300 + 10% on utility upto 300. If 2 people in home has Airtel or 1 Airtel sim/broadband easily 300 cashback is accumulated. Cylinder, ebill will be 10% discount very good deal.
--> every month Wednesday Amazon fresh has ₹300 (10% cashback instant) on axis cards, same like icici mentioned above you will save ~18% on groceries.
--> CC is better and reached (faced trouble at start, still they are not customer friendly and we'll knowledge than amex).
--> trouble -- ₹500 Annual charges, but utility saving would cover this easily. Or if spending is ₹2 lac , then waived off.
If possible get a HDFC savings account and platinum debit card(25k minimum balance) and get 1% additional cashback on credit card bill payment. Making 1% more rewards.
Millennia is the best for everyone with a monthly purchase of Rs.3000 to Rs.4000 per month.
Online shopping 5%
Offline shopping 1%
Quarterly voucher Rs.1000 for 1 lakh spends
5% cashback on smartbuy
Maximum cashback limited to Rs.1000 per month.
Overall a great single card for many users
Amazon pay icici is the second best
Purchases from Amazon 5% without max limit
Utilities 2%
Offline 1%
Unlimited cashback

I would tend to disagree only because hdfc doesn't report credit limit to the bureaus.
It has far reaching consequences if you want to take a loan or any other credit card down the line.

Its a thing of experience, its not answerable in terms of word "how"

yeah agreed. My bad.. missed that imp nuisance play by HDFC. Even I suffered coz of it. :(
I was focussed only on their service levels.
If we see for more cashback which card is best
I have Flipkart Axis, Hdfc millenia, sbi simply cliq and cashback card. Which one will give more cashback for offline transaction like Dmart, More?
On Smartbuy website you can earn cash back and reward points for buying vouchers using HDFC credit card
