credit card bill payment FAILED on CRED

#####@@@In order to prevent misuse of CRED credit card and call complain.support centre (7001/623/498) magnetic strip on back side, customer care people are asking you for such formalities.
Better visit the branch with your ID and proof of your request, and be adamant on your request to close the card with immediate effect.
Here, they are not denying you to take your request. They are telling you to self destruct your card and submit it to them with written application.
It is so because, request taking officer has to ensure that card is destructed physically. If you apply through online, they can't verify it.
Two solutions:
1. Visit any branch and submit credit card with request to close it.
2. Dial call center and inform them that you lost your card. They will block it. Don't give them instruction to renew it. After few days, call them and inform that you want to deactivate the same

Get the UTR number via Cred and approach Nodal officer (AXIS + Cred if they got one). If they (both Cred and Axis) fail to provide any resolution for next 1/2 weeks then raise a complaint with RBI ombudsman (Start with Cred and then depending on resolution provided you can go against AXIS. Should take less than a month usually)
