I have a ICICI Bank Instant Platinum Credit Card (secured card against FD) of 1L limit from past 4 months. I tried many times for a unsecured card but got rejected everytime. I am salaried with 50K+ monthly salary and currently working from home (I think WFH might be the reason for rejection as my office is a startup in another city). And my current Cibil score is 759 which I think is decent enough.
Please tell me how I can get assured a unsecured credit card? I am thinking about card to card basis on my icici fd card. I have a icici bank account where I received my salary and it’s a privilege account (upgrade from normal account) but still there is no pre-approved credit card offer (they have given pre-approved offer for home and motor loans but no credit card). Please someone help me on this situation.
Open an account with HDFC bank, use it actively for 6 months to an year. CC offer will pop up.
OR
Use your current secured credit card from ICICI for 8-10 months & close it. Wait for closure to be updated in CIBIL. Pre – approved offer usually comes within 2 months of closure.
CibiL “Score” doesn’t matter. What does your CIbIl report show is what matters!
My Cibil score reduced to 751. On 3rd February I applied for Amazon Pay ICICI Bank credit card again after 180 days. It was completely paperless as I am already a ICICI bank account holder. They even don’t asked for salary details. I got a verification call on last Friday, he said card will approved in next 4-5 days. Yesterday my application got rejected, I don’t know for what reasons. Therefore after getting sms I went to my branch and closed my secured ICICI Bank Credit Card for pre-approved offers.

You can check with your local icici bank branch. AFAIK, ICICI doesn’t do C to C cards.
They are doing it now. Min 1 year old card for salaried and 2 year for business people.

Yup, this is a real pain; I updated my address to my native in most banks due to WFH and now I don’t see a single cc offer; so definitely being in a tier2/3 city/town hurts in regards to CC approvals.
I am in a village. Single bus twice a week. 20 km off from main highway and almost 25km from nearest BANK – UCO. Fastest Jio and Airtel and BSNL speeds on top here though.
@atul_singh You need to prove to credit card issuers that you don’t need or want a credit card and are unlikely to use it. Desperation would only lead to rejection and also it’s like a warning sign to other card issuers. I’d recommend you take a secured loan (not a secured card) & use 20-25% of it (not full utilisation) for a period of 6-9 months so that it reflects in positive in your records going forward. For the time being close your Secured ICICI card and wait for 3 months for its closure to be updated in CIBIL.
Register yourself at paisabazaar, policybazaar or similar site, check your cibil score using your mobile and profile, wait for some days you will be flooded with card offers from them then choose LFT card using card to card approval, and there you go …… one after one you may get other bank cards as well (be sure your existing card should be six months old).

You can apply but you’ll need someones help. I’m in Patna and I still got Amex platinum travel card and mrcc(both cards delivered to Patna Bihar )
@SastaRaju ICICI Sapphiro is given LTF now & as useless as that card is, It is worth for DragonPass lounges, spa and airport shop discounts whenever International travel resumes. Another year and a half or two i suppose.
@Ramta_Jogi Is the LTF based on the Wealth Management program by ICICI? I want to get my ICICI HPCL fuel card upgraded. The limit might be on the lower end though, its 2L.

I was only suggesting another card from icici with a decent perk. Emeralde used to be great as long as it had Boingo add-on services. Icici seems to be having bad quality ganja to come out with terrible cards and perks. Their payback point reward program is outdated

Nothing min limit for c2c is 35-40k and 8 month old card
Now I have a new Amazon Pay ICICI Bank Credit Card and a 6 month old ICICI gold privilege banking account. Is there any chance of getting pre-approved LTF credit card offer from ICICI? And if not will I get upgrade offer on my Amazon Pay Credit Card?
Yes but apply for Myzone , use it for 4-6 months then upgrade by calling CC
Also existing card should have around 70k limit to be on the safe side

Depends on bank, but most of them will show the track from your first account.
