Bad date for a breach... Should have been on "16th December" to be more ironic. Not surprised at all, waiting for days to come when big, reputed clouds will be hacked everyday and your family or nude baby  children photos appearing everywhere on net...

if you want to have the data + vulnerabilities we used to get into the database - 2000$

I wish Indian Rail buys out the exclusivity to their own data leak, 2000$ is not much for them. May be they will do that to silence the hacker, but its better than having our data in the hands of tom dick and harry.

They should hire private security firms to test and secure their system and all endpoints.

The way now days people share aadhar copy is another way to get bombed some day when hackers finds the way to use Aadhar number.
It contains all of your private information when you simply give copy

Address
Phone
Aadhar number

Just one otp needed to get things done remotely.
Linking / Presenting Aadhar anywhere except where is mandatory is dangerous.
I recently get SBI bank account without aadhar card. If this can be done what else.
