I had applied for the same card as their app was showing me the option of applying, but after applying, I got an email from DBS, saying I will get a Visa card...

I instantly called their CC & they told me that they are not giving any Rupay card now, so they automatically issued me the crap EaseMyTrip card (without my permission)...

They have confirmed on the call, that they are only providing EMT card & nothing else...

I asked them to block the card ASAP, which they did, but 2 days later, they charged me debit card replacement fee of 177/- (150 + GST)...

Now I am fighting with them to get the damn debit card chages reversed...

I first time saw a bank charging debit card replacement charges after blocking & not dispatching the card.

In-short, Do NOT apply...They are not giving any Rupay debit card, even though their app is still allowing to apply for it..

When you applied ? Because RuPay Platinum DC is back in stock 2 days ago.

Now you can apply RuPay variant. Already shared Physical card image, received yesterday.

Note - block your existing card and then you will get RuPay Platinum DC apply option.

I don't have any debit card with them, as I didn't apply for any debit card after my last card was expired (because of no offers on their Visa Platinum card) & their app is still showing me the option to apply for it like I already mentioned before..

And no, they are not currently issuing the Rupay debit card..

I just called them now...They said, they have a name printing issue on the Rupay debit cards and they are not able to process & dispatch Rupay debit cards for now...

They said, they are unable to give any ETA of when it will come back in stock. 

They kept on insisting me again & again on the call to get the EMT card, even though I already told them that I am not at all interested in that card...

They are also unable to explain, why they are still allowing me to apply for the card even when they are unable to process it...

I guess @Sushrut.B might be correct. Here’s the mail I received.

Once you receive your card, simply log in to the digibank app and set your Debit Card PIN to activate the card. Before you know it, you will 'Live more, Bank less' with the many benefits on your VISA PayWave Debit Card.

Might be a mail template issue too, but I doubt it. Anyways I am going to keep the DC whatever variant they give this time. Will probably cancel DBS by the end of this year.

Not the mail template issue...I had got the same email as well after applying for the Rupay card...

They are not suppose to issue another card variant which the customer did not apply for & it's highly unprofessional when they claim they are the Asia's Safest Bank & all...I had told them exactly this on the call last time as well, to which they remained silent...

Their Visa Platinum card has no use or offers, as you can get it from any bank...

If they don't remove it from their app until they are able to issue it, they will get bombarded with complaints & reversal requests...

I recently got Pre-approved Coral Rupay CC as LTF from ICICI, but I don't have a Rupay debit, so thought about applying, my bad...

Why you are trying to prove that they are still issuing it, when they are not ?? Just because you created this thread?? 

They clearly told that the issue is from their end & they specifically told, that they are unable to print the names on the Rupay Debit cards now...

I even have screen recording with several of their chat support people, who clearly told me that, they are only issuing EMT card for now..

And whats up with the all bold letters all the time??

I think we all can read texts which are NOT bold too?

@ others, If you are going to apply for the Rupay card, first call or chat with their support to confirm, if they are issuing it or not, otherwise you might have to go with the same trouble, which I am facing now.

I am saying DBS bank (not LVB merger bank) first time launch RuPay Platinum debit card starting from 22th September, 2023.

Many customer support team are unaware about this newly launched RuPay Platinum DC.

More than 12 people contacted DBS bank and 5 people got confirmation from DBS bank, RuPay variant is now live.

Just 3-4 days ago, everyone told DBS RuPay card is not available

and last thing, i shared the card image, @starbearer got this card yesterday, he applied, 1 or 2 weeks ago, that time customer support told RuPay variant is out of stock. Another person contact customer support team last week, he got similar reply their vendor is not live for RuPay variant yet.

Now 2 days ago, got reply from DBS, RuPay variant is live and yesterday @starbearer told me, he got the card.

If you don't believe then wait for a few more days.

After I'd applied, they told me that the Rupay vendor hadn't kept up with the supply of cards and they didn't know when they'd be able to fulfill the request. They offered EMT card, I declined and asked to keep my request pending. I was told there was no time guarantee and it could take a few weeks which I was OK with. Yesterday,  got a text from Bank and Blue Dart and received my card.

I suppose their supply chain issues are resolved by now.

It's not a card to die for. If you have a DBS account and are maintaining 10K, then might as well get it. It's free for the first year and a nominal 150 afterwards. Better than the other DBS debit cards.

Yes and in the last 2 days, 12 people had contacted out of which 5 people had received a confirmation reply RuPay Platinum variant is live.

The rest of the people got the same reply that you got @Sushrut.B 

Like i said before, wait for a few more days.

Last year I had bigbasket dc which I had cancelled within FYF. Previous to that I had their LTF DC which they discontinued and never gave a replacement. 

UNRELATED: Also I had an account opened for my Mom, which they upgraded to Prime without much indication that it will cost good money after a year along with regular disturbances from RM. Thank fully realised within a year and closed that account.

Only best thing about DBS is, closure is very simple.

How to get a confirmation, mail comes about the variant when dispatched or some SMS?

I got DBS Rupay Platinum six months ago when my LVB Rupay Platinum debit expired. using in amazon  to pay bills.

DBS DC has offers on Swiggy & Zepto and 1 lounge access/qtr. Are these offers also applicable on Rupay card?

This is coming in just at the time when I was going to close my DBS Savings Account since it's of pretty much no use to me.

Even if I request for a new DC, it will be dispatched to an address where I'm not residing in Pune. I recently took possession of my flat in Pune and can get the address changed to there but then again, I'm currently residing in hometown and can do this when I'm present there for which I've no immediate plans.

Let's see, will keep the account alive then for a while. Interestingly, I was going to close the account tomorrow only. At least I can use the DC for an year and then rethink on the account closing later on 😇

Since my hometown doesn't come under their serviceable area, any idea how to get the debit card delivered to my hometown address in Patna? Any idea @Seinfeld

I dnt know the offer t&c but when i enter the DBS bank RuPay Platinum DC BIN number on Swiggy payment page, got Rs75 off.
