I did the wallet load with Axis flipkart cc 2500rs, but axis charges 1% me 25rs +gst mentioned DCC Markup charges, anyone explain what is this

What is DCC Charges ?
Dynamic Currency Conversion (DCC) is a service that may be offered by a Merchant or Acquirer that enables a Cardholder – when travelling abroad or making a transaction that is not in their billing currency – to choose whether their transaction should be completed in either the local currency or their billing currency.
List of Cards on which DCC will be charged:
- Flipkart Axis Bank Credit Card - with effect from 5th March, 2023.
- IndusInd Credit Cards - w.e.f. 6th April, 2023.
- Sbi bpcl card
- Icici card

Same happened to me. Its because of new rules are implemented fir fk axis cc. From this month, all paytm wallet loads will hit us with gst and dcc markup

Yes, same happened with me.
I added 4,000 rs. in paytm wallet via zomato and next day I was charged with DCC markup charge of rs. 40 + rs. 7.2 GST.

Was planning to test 100txn on wallets to see where cb is still coming, but looks like its useless now untill they rectify this stupidity of foreign entity registration

DCC is Dynamic Currency Conversion which basically means paying for the txn showing amount in your local currency even when the txn is actually international. E.g. Many international sites will show the software/service price in Indian rupees to be paid even thought the txn is international & for such txns DCC charge is extra.

It clearly shows dcc markup on international transactions only. No such on wallet load. Seems either Mobikwik has moved outside the country or there is some issue in Axis which is detecting Mobikwik as international merchant.
